Yes, thank Goodness these were not my kids and this was not my living room. If it had been I probably would have... well, I don't know. How can you spank kids that are smiling like that? I guess justice would be to wait until the kids are in high school and submit the photo to their yearbook class.
Hey I have some green paint in my bedroom to match. And we haven't replaced the carpet either. I let the boy live, hell he's five now. Funny story the paint spread like a volcano and I used a cookie sheet to try to scrape it out of the carpet. Had to throw the cookie sheet away and the carpet looks like it has a green foam rubber coating at the bottom. It,the paint can, was about 3/4 full when he dumped it over and started playing in it.
I know we're supposed to laugh- but this isn't funny to me. I hope it was well staged with some harmless substance, but both the mommy and the nanny in me cringe to imagine children left unsupervised long enough to cause such damage with such a caustic, toxic substance as paint. I'm sure it's not *really* paint, right? What if it got in their eyes? their little noses? ah! the horror.
p.s. thanks katra for posting the flickr and snopes links!
BTW, as a mother of four, who also brought up my three yonger siblings and worked in a couple of playgroups, I can tell you that it takes no time at all for little creative genuises to coat something liberally like that.
Looking at the Snopes link there are people who think the can could have been knocked over - as a former manager in a DIY store where many a can of paint was knocked over, I don't think that happened, though as a mother I am slightly appalled at the thought that there appears to be a screwdriver on the floor there. In my mind, that's potentially worse than leaving paint with a loose lid about.

LOL.... this is so much funnier when it is not your own kids who have done something.....
I hope you got it all cleaned up.
*sigh*
O.o
. . . Oh, God.. The TV!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you God I never had children.
Thank you God I never wanted any.
anyone know where this originated from? i'd like to find out what *really* happened.
It's amazing what a child can do in about 10 minutes.
